Check out the Davos info in 2004:
Ability levels will be determined on
Monday during the seeding race. Competition consists of the Giant
Slalom, the Super G, and the Slalom and Dual Slalom. The Dual Slalom competition will include the 32
fastest racers based on the Slalom Race. Medals will be awarded to the top five racers in
each age and ability level. The competition is for all levels of ability within five age
groups, 21-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 - 70 and 70 and older. There will be separate
men and women divisions. Expert racers will compete in an open class. Women
however, will be included with men in the fastest 32 qualifiers that will race in the dual
slalom. The dual slalom will consist of the 32 fastest results (combined times) of the
Slalom Race.
SEEDING START ORDER
Numbers 1-5 will be reserved for the top five skiers based on results of the
2003
competition. All other seeding bib numbers will be determined by the order we
receive your paid entry.
TEAM COMPETITION
Team competition is on going throughout the week. A team will consist of a
maximum of four alpine racers, from the same department, with no limit to the number of
teams from any one department. If there is a cross-country competition, a fifth
cross-country competitor will be allowed to become a member of a designated four man
alpine team.
FAMILY RACE
Family members, registered guests, sponsors and their families are encouraged to
participate in the Family Race. Family
awards will be presented on the hill after the race.
SNOWBOARD COMPETITION
Snowboard competition may be reintroduced this year. Family
members will also be allowed to participate. Based on the response,
snowboarding could be included in our Alpine disciplines in the future.
Competition is for all levels of ability within five
age groups:
- 21-29 Senior
- 30-39 Veteran
- 40-49 Master
- 50-59 Grand Master
